Wedding at Rosspark – Pauline and Dale
Today on the blog we feature the wedding at Rosspark of Pauline & Dale. On the day there were a few s stories about how these two met but the romance has continued for quite a few years and
eventually Dale popped the question and so they gathered at Rosspark with a large group of family and friends. I always enjoy Rosspark weddings not only because it is one of the venues closest to my home but the staff are really helpful and we have a super relationship.
It was also super to meet up again with Jane Millar from Maison de Fleurs who are based locally in Kells and provide some lovely flowers and lanterns etc to really enhance the day
We were also blessed with the weather which was at least dry because the day before we had torrential rain and it would have been impossible to get any outside pictures had the same happened. However on the day
the weather was kind and at around 12:30 the happy groom arrived. Dale was dressed in a kilt looking super in the Giants Causeway Tartan while the other men had matching waistcoats and ties.
I am a bit of a tartan fan anyway but this tartan which is inspired by the colours found around the Causeway is (in my view) one of the nicest I have seen in a long time.
While we took some shots of Dale and the other men I looked up the driveway and could see a wee tractor appearing. Dales brother had been restoring this vintage grey ‘fergie; and had really pulled out the stops
to get it ready in time to make a surprise entrance at the wedding . Being a farmer this was not problem of Dale to take it for a wee spin and it gave a great focal point for some pics.
Soon it was time for the men to be chased inside before the lovely ladies made their entrance . The ceremony proceeded nicely and we managed to get some lovely shots outside.
Then it was back inside for the reception and the speeches . Dale is a bit of a poet and the grooms speech had everyone in stitches. After the meal and speeches there was a bit of a break before the happy couple and guests danced the night away
This is a selection of some of the images from a wonderful day.
